Welcome to the Inaugural Ceremony of the Hong Kong Shine Tak Foundation. We are deeply honored that Chief Executive Mr. Leung and Director Mr. Zhang, despite their demanding schedules, have graciously joined us today to officiate at this important occasion. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the many respected leaders from the philanthropic community, the business sector, and our friends who have honored us with their presence, guidance, and generous support. On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Shine Tak Foundation, I express our heartfelt gratitude to Chief Executive Leung, Director Zhang, and all distinguished guests. 

Hong Kong is truly a blessed land. When we unite and channel positive energy, we can create new opportunities and shape a brighter future. For society to advance, it requires the continued dedication and contributions of the older generation, as well as the active participation and sense of responsibility of the younger generation in carrying forward our culture. Equally vital is the mutual support, respect, and inclusiveness between generations, so that harmony may be achieved. 

With this vision, a group of devoted individuals—many of whom have served as chairpersons or held key positions in major charitable organizations in Hong Kong—came together in July this year to establish the Hong Kong Shine Tak Foundation. Beyond promoting social harmony through the collective strength of our members, our foremost mission is to cultivate positive thinking among young people, helping them to understand the core values of Chinese culture, encouraging their active involvement in social affairs, nurturing leadership, and fostering trust and mutual support. In doing so, we aim to strengthen cohesion within the community and society at large, driving overall development and progress. 

The Shine Tak Foundation is blessed with a wealth of talent, including business leaders and heads of community organizations. United by shared ideals—supporting our nation, advancing harmony, fostering positive values, preserving culture, caring for society, and promoting benevolence—we have swiftly formed a sizeable Board of Directors. The strong support we have received from both the Central Government and the HKSAR Government is truly invaluable. I am humbled by the trust placed in me by my fellow directors in electing me as the Founding Chairperson. Though the responsibility is weighty, I accept it with resolve, and will devote myself wholeheartedly, working hand in hand with my colleagues to advance the Foundation’s mission, serve society with virtue, and contribute to our nation. 

To align with social development, the Shine Tak Foundation will not only unite community organizations to promote harmony and support the underprivileged, but will also focus on organizing diverse activities to help local youth realize their potential, ignite their passion, and discover themselves. Through various platforms—including Chinese traditional culture, exchange programs, creative adventures, leadership training, and career development—we will guide young people to build positive values and a strong sense of national identity. In doing so, we support the HKSAR Government in governing according to law, foster good moral culture, and ensure the spirit of patriotism and love for Hong Kong is passed on. 

Distinguished guests, the Shine Tak Foundation upholds the founding principle of “Infinite Benevolence, Virtue Across the World.” In the days ahead, our members will act with commitment and responsibility, contributing to society. We sincerely hope that all of you will join us in promoting the spirit of patriotism and love for Hong Kong, and lend your strong support to our work, so that our society may prosper and flourish. 

Once again, I express my deepest gratitude to Chief Executive Leung and Director Zhang for gracing today’s ceremony, which has added great significance to the occasion. I also thank all our honored guests for your presence, support, and encouragement.
