Founding Members

The Hong Kong Shine Tak Foundation is a non profit charitable organization, jointly established by devoted leaders who have long served on the boards of major charitable institutions in Hong Kong. Guided by the founding principle of “Infinite Benevolence, Virtue Across the World,” the Foundation is committed to uniting strength, promoting social harmony, nurturing positive thinking among young people, and supporting initiatives that advance Chinese culture and the spirit of patriotism and love for Hong Kong.

Since Hong Kong’s return to the Motherland more than two decades ago, the younger generation has grown into leaders in their own right, striving with the “Hong Kong Spirit” to build their future. In recent years, youth have actively engaged in shaping society’s development. With perseverance and the enduring “Hong Kong Spirit,” I firmly believe they will surpass expectations.

It is therefore vital for young people to understand Hong Kong’s historical journey—from a small fishing port to a global metropolis; to appreciate how earlier generations, through resilience and mutual support, built today’s Hong Kong; and to recognize the profound significance of Hong Kong’s return to the Motherland. Such understanding will instill positive energy, courage, and unity, enabling them to face life’s challenges, carry forward the Hong Kong Spirit, and become responsible citizens who love both Hong Kong and our nation.

I am deeply grateful to my fellow members of the Foundation for the opportunity to contribute to this meaningful work. We look forward to the guidance of distinguished leaders from all sectors, so that we may continue to grow, progress, and serve society.
On this important occasion—the inauguration of our first Board of Directors—I wish the Shine Tak Foundation every success: may its benevolence spread across the seas, and its virtue shine throughout the world.
