Shin Tak Tea Culture Legacy & Innovation Initiative

China, the original proponent of “International Tea Day”, the United Nations officially designate May 21 as “International Tea Day” in 2019. In 2023, the Shin Tak Foundation proudly launched the “Shin Tak Tea Culture Heritage Program”, aiming to deepen public understanding—especially among youth—of Chinese tea culture through a series of engaging promotional activities.

Significant Enhancement of Four Core Competencies

  • Reflected in tea culture cognition
  • Etiquette literacy
  • National identity
  • Cross-cultural communication skills

Rooted in the promotion of excellent Chinese cultural education, the Shin Tak Foundation successfully launched the "Shin Tak Tea Culture Inheritance and Innovation Program" in 2023 and 2024. Through 8 on-campus courses, students learn tea-related customs such as receiving guests with tea and respecting elders first. Leveraging Chinese tea studies, the program promotes the national essence and inherits traditional virtues.

Furthermore, we held the "International Tea Day Tea Culture Carnival" at the AsiaWorld-Expo for the first time. Students who had participated in the tea culture courses were able to apply their knowledge practically—personally demonstrating tea table arrangements and tea-making skills on-site, which strengthened their communication capabilities on both social and international cultural stages.
